I prefer the '74 LIGs over '73 for the most part; they take this song waaaaaay out in '74, whereas many '73s seem a bit interchangeable. 8/4/74 (Dick's Picks 31) is of my absolute favorite LIGs of all time.

I do agree though that this tune does seem to get better in '76 and later years - there's some killer versions from fall '77 and I really like the early '80s ones too.

I don't know the DP 31 version. I think I recently talked to you about my DP 31 ignorance.

The early 80s LIGs are amazing, likely the best period IMO for them. DP 13 and DP 32 (can I say OMG?) are amazing. With 32 taking a slightly higher spot than 13.

But CC, dude listen to that 90 version. Its killer, along with the without a net version. Both are epic.

glad to hear. I really think that without LIG is a top five all time. (boy I've been sayin that a lot lately, LMAO)

Everything on that album is magnifico but the LIG is a standout amongst standouts

Damn, this LIG is pretty killer. Bobby's guitar tone I wouldn't call bad at all, unusual and a bit distracting at points, but totally listenable. But wow does Jerry shrrrreedddd!
